1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Natalie, owner of The Jazzy Spot. I love to "JAZZ it UP", hence the name of my blog :) I reside in the Los Angeles area & work in Irvine, the "OC". I'm just like most women, I love to shop, check out trends, buy shoes, bags and feel pretty! I'm a busy body, I don't like being stagnant, and I'm at my best when I can vibe off people or life. I do enjoy my down time, my introvert moments when I do like being alone reading a book or being affectionate with that one special person. I'm a true Libra/Leo, so I'm a Vanity Slave...I LOVE all things that are beautiful and inspirational. Mother Nature can offer some of the most precious gems, so my vanity isn't always materialistic. I'm a firm believer that we attract what we think about most, which in all honesty isn't always the good. Some of my favorite quotes are: "Life is for living, not living uptight" & "Everybody dies but no everybody LIVES".

2. How you first got involved in with blogging?
My first blog was actually an Urban Street Lit blog http://streetlitcorner.blogspot.com . Which is a blog dedicated to write reviews for Street Lit Fiction. I was involved in a book club in Los Angeles, I also frequently wrote reviews on Amazon, then started compiling them onto a blog. I LOVE to write, it's another one of my passions. I really enjoying expressing via words. I started blogging lightly in 2009, just about what is happening in my city or what I did. I kinda of lean towards the same thing but in late 2010, I started to pick it up again. I also joined a local blogger organization named, Two Point Oh LA here in Los Angeles with a group of great people committed on bringing the industry back to Los Angeles.

4. Tell me about some of the people you’ve met while working on your blog?
I've met some awesome people via www.TwoPointOhLA.com, from jewelry designers, to DIY bloggers, & entrepreneurs. I've been approached most recently by PR for Sam Sarpong who models for Gsus Sindustries and is working on their newest campaign. I should have some behind the scenes photos of that event very soon, as well on some info on the brand & Jean Phillipe, a French Men's Wear company. I've met several people in the music industry, but that's pretty much just being from LA and knowing how to network or communicate with people. I'm truly the type of person, that if I LOVE what you represent I will shout you out to the world if I can!!

5. How would (someone) describe your blogging style?
My blogging style would be personable, honest, genuine & inspirational mixed with some HIP HOP. I'm a single Mother, I go to school & work full time. I don't make the mega bucks, so I would like to share with other people my tips, my life, and some inspiration to others as well as be a point of interest to know what's HAUTE! I'd say I'm relateable (wait, is that a word?? LOL), I'm not perfect or gorgeous, just a real Woman, sharing only what I KNOW, and not to assume to know.

6. What do you do when you aren’t working on your blog?
I'm a Mother, a friend, a daughter and a student. When I'm not on my blog, which is usually mon-fri 8-5 while I'm at work. I work HARD, so I parlay HARD when I can. I like to explore, make memories and enjoy some LIVE entertainment when I can.

On May 23, 2011 exfatgurl.com re launched with a revamped website. The once blog about one urban girl’s struggle to lose weight is now an online magazine for every girl that is now, was, or will be in her shoes.
The newly revamped site and conversion to online magazine was the undeniable next step for exfatgurl.com. Melissa Quezada, the exfatgurl herself, originally started her blog to track her journey and to be held accountable for the weight lost goals she set. She received an outpouring of support and questions from women in similar situations that wanted to know how she did it.
The overall goal of exfatgurl.com is to provide a place where women can come together. In the exchanging of tips, sharing of personal stories and learning of new products, exfatgurl.com hopes to boost the self confidence of women as well as promote Girl Power! When discussing the site Melissa says, “I stumbled into a community where every woman, no matter what the scale read, was never truly happy with their own reflection. Striving to be healthier and happier, I figured if we all came to one place we could all learn from one another.”
Exfatgurl.com is a website providing women of all shapes, sizes, and colors to come together and share their struggles. Exfatgurl.com invites women to an encouraging place that will help them reach an image that they are comfortable and happy with. We strive to help our readers reach personal success by providing tips, experiences, and promoting different products. "Different Scales, Same Tales".
